Ms. Nusara Kanjanakul, Director-General of the Department of Intellectual Property, Ministry of Commerce, revealed thatthe Department of Intellectual Property, in collaboration with the Internal Security Operations Command (ISOC), the Metropolitan Police Bureau, the Economic Crime Suppression Division, the Customs Department, the Department of Special Investigation, agencies from trading partners such as the Embassy of the United States in Thailand (US), the Delegation of the European Union to Thailand (EU), and the private sector that owns intellectual property rights, along with the management of MBK Shopping Mall, conducted a field survey of the sale of products that violate intellectual property rights within the shopping mall area.
The purpose of this field visit is to campaign and create understanding among traders, entrepreneurs and the general public to be aware of the impact and damage from products that infringe on intellectual property rights, which may cause danger to life and property from the use of low-quality and substandard products.
